Code, Hike, Ride, Create.
I’m a software engineer and a maker. I write code, build tools, and create systems. When I’m not in front of a screen, I’m sewing gear, riding dirt bikes, or hiking trails. I like building things that last.
First "Big" Sewing Project: Duffle Bag, 2025
This is my first "Big" sewing project. Previously I've done a few zipper pouches for backpacking to learn how to sew. But then I decided to build a duffle bag that I'll use as a gym bag.
A few issues I ran into during this build:
- Because I was sewing on my small desk, it made it difficult to maneuver a larger project. This resulted in me having some not-so-straight stitches. Moving forward, I'll start sewing larger projects on a larger desk.
- Sewing the end caps to the main body was complex. After sewing the first and turning it around to inspect I realized I missed a couple spots. So I had to go over them again. To fix this in the future, I'll take sewing circles slower.
Materials:
- Main Body: X-Pac VX21, Black
- Lining: Challenge Recycled Bag Cloth (RBC) - Coated 200D Fabric w/ Eco Friendly DWR, Teal
- Handles: 1.5inch Mil-spec Nylon Webbing, Black
- Temporary Strap: Random paracord, Red
- Thread: Gutermann MARA 100 Thread, Robin Egg Blue and Black

Oregon/Washington BDR (DNF), 2025
From Central Oregon to Canada with my brother on our motorcycles. Riding the trails, camping, having fun.
Unfortunately, I crashed into a log after taking a turn too fast and too early in the morning. It broke the radiator on my bike, causing a constant leak. We ended up deciding to turn around and did not finish. We plan on going back next year to finish.

Mt. Hood Timberline Trail, 2024
3.5 days/3 nights, and 40 miles. A backpacking trip with my brother.
